Plans for Bardell Wharf, Rochester approved!
Congratulations to Quinn Estates and well done to the team for the approval of plans for Bardell Wharf, Rochester.
Located less than 350 metres from Rochester train station, and with stunning views across the river, the development takes inspiration from Rochester’s unique heritage and will be a landmark development for the town.
The Quinn Estates Development in partnership with Classicus Estates delivers over 20,000 sq. ft of retail, professional services, food and new leisure space together with 331 apartments. The buildings are carefully designed to create street level activity and develop a sense of community to create a vibrant new commercial quarter to complement the existing town centre.
Quinn Estates worked closely with Medway Council, Historic England and Design South East over many months to develop proposals.
Manhire Associates collaborated with Corstorphine+Wright Architects to develop proposals that were sympathetic with the railway which runs along the northern boundary of the development.
The careful use of brick is evident across the development with heavier, industrial-wharf language along the railway with dark brick tones and archways.
