Kensington Row
Kensington Row is the second part of the Warwick Road masterplan to be realised, following the completion of 375 Kensington High Street, which won Evening Standard Best London Home in 2014.
Manhire Associates and Squire and Partners were commissioned in 2011 to progress conceptual designs for the Kensington Row site, closely following the principles set out in the practice’s Warwick Road masterplan – adopted by The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea in 2008, which established building heights and layouts for the new residential quarter.
The first phase comprises 4 buildings with Thomas Earle House, an 11 storey apartment building containing 82 apartments the first to be completed. The building has a driveway entrance off Warwick Road, a new linear park and an enclosed garden courtyard. Three further buildings, including a slender 17 storey ‘campanile’ tower, provide a mix of a further 70 residential apartments with community uses at ground and lower ground floor levels.
Working with the Delivery Unit at Scott Brownrigg, Manhire Associates and the design team are utilizing their expertise in developing designs building upon the knowledge and experience gained working on 375 Kensington High Street. The thoughtful designs exude prestige and luxury with open plan living areas finished with the finest materials and a variety of bespoke features.
Residents at Kensington Row have an excellent range of leisure facilities on their doorstep, including a private swimming and vitality pool and exclusive treatment rooms. Residents also have access to a state-of-the-art gymnasium, fitted with the latest sporting and work-out equipment. The development also comes with an onsite private cinema for the exclusive use of residents and a 24 hour hotel-style concierge service.
